Career Summary: LTC Whittle was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers from the United States Military Academy at West Point.  He is married to the former Kathleen McCall, and they have two children, Austin (8) and Avery (6).
 
Assignments include: Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in the 40th Engineer Battalion, Baumholder, Germany from 1991-1994. Company Commander in the 2nd Engineer Battalion, Camp Castle, Korea, from 1994-1996. Project Manager in the Philadelphia District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, from 1998-1999. Deputy Chief of the Joint Visitors Bureau, Task Force Eagle, Bosnia, from 1998-1999. Executive Officer to the Commanding General of the North Atlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, from 1999-2001. G3 Plans Officer in the 1st Infantry Division from 2003-2004, during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Battalion S3 of the 9th Engineer Battalion from 2004-2005, during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Executive Officer of the 9th Engineer Battalion from 2005-2006.  Commander of Task Force Guardian from 2006-2007.
