| Neal A. Teschendorf
has been elected Chairman of the Veterans of the First Engineer Combat
Battalion, responsible for guiding and presiding over the
organization’s board of directors as well as hosting annual meetings. Uniquely qualified for this leadership position, Neal has served on the board of directors of the Veterans of the First Engineer Combat Battalion, and is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled Americans Veterans. Neal, 41, joined the U.S. Army a week after high school graduation in January 1988. He served until May 1991 as a combat engineer, first in Germany, where he participated in REFORGER (Return of Forces to Germany), and later in Saudi Arabia, where he participated in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. During that time, he was awarded the Army Achievement, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Kuwait Liberation Medals from the governments of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Neal holds an arts and science associates degree from the University of Wisconsin, Fond du Lac, and currently works at Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin. He lives with his wife Andrea and son James near Oakfield, Wisconsin. |
